Fence gate installation in Fort Collins is where most fences succeed or fail. A gate gets opened thousands of times, so it needs a stout post, the right hinges and a frame that won't sag.
We build new gates for new fences and add or replace gates on fences you already have.
Gates We Install
- Walk gates, commonly 4 feet wide
- Double drive gates for trucks and trailers
- RV and alley gates
- Self-closing, self-latching gates for pools and dogs
- Matching gates for wood, vinyl, chain link and aluminum fences
Alley Gates and Setbacks
Many older Fort Collins neighborhoods have alleys. The city requires a fence along an alley to sit at least 3 feet from the lot line when the garage door is set back 20 feet or more, and at least 8 feet when it is closer. We plan alley and RV gates so they meet those setbacks and still give you room to swing a trailer in.
Why Gates Sag
Most sagging gates have a gate post that has shifted or a frame with no diagonal brace. We set gate posts deeper and heavier than line posts, brace wood frames, and use adjustable hinges so the gate can be trued up later.
